Clinical Psychologist

I believe that we all strive to be authentic and express our inborn creativity.

We have a need to be heard and understood and we want to live healthy and happy lives. Too often though, depression, anxiety, addictive behaviors, or conflicts in relationships make that difficult.

About Therapy

Problems in living are often caused by patterns of feeling and behavior that were once necessary to help us through the challenges of growing up under difficult circumstances. Although these ways of coping helped us get what we needed when we were young they often no longer serve us well as adults. As a result we begin to feel unhappy when we can’t seem to reach our goals or establish satisfying relationships.

In over twenty years of clinical experience I have worked with a wide range of clients including couples, substance abusers, and people simply struggling with the challenges of daily life.

In my work with clients I value the importance of insight and self-understanding, and appreciate how for some, spirituality contributes to the healing process.

I feel that my role as a therapist is to help people reestablish a sense hope, trust, and confidence that things can change for the better. Through empathic and careful listening I work to create a safe therapeutic environment where one can grow, face life’s challenges and live a rewarding life.
